The World Through the Ears of a Deaf Cyborg

The Austrian Acoustics Research Institute studied what the world sounds like to deaf people with Cochlea implants: Cochlea Implant Simulation

If you consider that being more or less deaf is the alternative, the implant seems to be a big help that allows the person to understand voices. Background noise will still be a problem, of course, but clearly better than nothing.

Now browse down to the music section. Can you guess the songs? Quite scary, all music turns into brass bucket horror movies! :-o
